Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.

We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. SCS Global Services Launches AI-Assisted EPD Verification Platform Proveriti™
Event Description
SCS Global Services, an international leader in third-party environmental and sustainability verification, launched Proveriti™, an AI-assisted platform designed to improve the efficiency of Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) verification, on October 20, coinciding with the start of USGBC's annual Greenbuild conference.
Proveriti™ is expected to streamline verification workflows while maintaining the rigor and independence of third-party review. According to SCS, conventional EPD verification can take up to two months. Proveriti is designed to reduce administrative work and allow experienced verifiers to focus on evaluating evidence and making professional judgments.
As demand continues to grow for reliable product environmental data, improving the speed and consistency of EPD verification could help manufacturers make verified information available to architects, designers, and building professionals more efficiently.
Key expected benefits include:
Increased efficiency: Reduces time spent organizing and reviewing documentation, with the goal of shortening verification processes.
Centralized documentation: Brings requirements, source data, supporting evidence, and verifier findings together in one workspace.
Automated compliance checklists: Drafts evaluation checklists based on applicable standards and Product Category Rules (PCRs).
AI-assisted evidence mapping: Identifies and cross-references relevant supporting documentation for each verification requirement.
Human oversight and independence: Verifiers establish the evaluation framework and retain responsibility for final decisions. AI assists the review process but does not replace professional judgment.
SCS reports that Proveriti is already being used in its EPD and LCA verification engagements. The company also presented the platform through Greenbuild Innovation Hub sessions and demonstrations.
