Free Webinar: Air-to-Water Heat Pumps: Solutions for Electrification and Comfort, August 5, 12 pm PT
Event Description

Air-to-water heat pumps are emerging as one of the most versatile and efficient electrification technologies for space heating, cooling, and domestic hot water. This course provides a practical overview of how they work, where they’re a good fit, and how to design and implement them across different project types. We’ll compare air-to-water systems to air-to-air heat pumps, boilers, furnaces, and dual-fuel setups, and look at common applications like radiant floors, fan coils, and hydronic distribution in both new construction and retrofits. Key topics include system sizing, climate considerations, system integration, and common mistakes to avoid. The session wraps up with a look at the all-new Daikin Altherma 3 H HT air-to-water heat pump system, including typical applications and real-world examples.

Learning Lessons -

1. Understand that air-to-water heat pumps can significantly improve indoor air quality and contribute to better health outcomes by providing consistent and efficient heating and cooling.

2. Analyze the safety benefits of air-to-water heat pumps, which reduce the risk of carbon monoxide leaks and other hazards associated with traditional heating systems.

3. Introduce air-to-water heat pumps as a welfare-enhancing solution by increasing energy efficiency and reducing utility costs for households, and see how they align with passive house standards.

4. Articulate the importance of proper system design to ensure optimal performance and safety, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable built environment.
