Women+ in Green Tour and Service Project,
Event Description

Networking, learning, and volunteering to support health and sustainability for all. This event will take place in-person and has been curated for GBA’s Women+ in Green network. This event offers an opportunity to learn about the health and environmental impacts of a female-led non-profit organization, tour its incredibly sustainable facility, and participate in a service project in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, happening earlier in the week. 


Participants will: 

  • Learn about Global Links and its mission from Executive Director Angela Garcia (past keynote speaker at GBA’s Women+ in Green Breakfast and Inspire Speakers Series) 
  • Explore the sustainable facility, including a peek of the rooftop solar array
  • Volunteer to sort and pack rescued medical supplies, while learning about the impact of their time on the organization’s mission

    • 1. Masks are currently required at Global Links, so please bring one.
      2. Please dress comfortably and wear close-toed shoes.
      3. As always, please stay home if you are exposed to COVID-19 or experiencing symptoms – and remember that participation in public events poses an increased risk of COVID. We will communicate other COVID-related precautions and updates to participants prior to the event.
