Western Massachusetts Green Consortium, Green Night, 9/13 - The Business Model for Green and Healthy Homes
Event Description

Western Massachusetts Green Night, September 13th
The Business Model for Green and Healthy Homes

Please join us to learn and enjoy while also earning credit towards your certifications with the Building Performance Institute (BPI). This presentation will touch on the issues affecting healthy homes, the role of the contractor in providing healthy home assessments, and how these assessments can help grow and expand contractor businesses.

Demand is growing for the BPI Healthy Home Evaluator (HHE) certification. More public health programs across the country, and private consumers, are calling for preventative home health assessments, with costs covered by public benefit funds or health insurers. Business opportunities lie in asthma and respiratory infection home assessments, aging-in-place elderly home assessments, and more.

BPI and the Green & Healthy Homes Initiative, together with a broad team of subject matter experts, created the HHE certification to meet these demands, with the goal of breaking the link between unhealthy housing and unhealthy families through home performance interventions.

**This is the first WMGC Green Night event that is offering BPI continuing education units (CEU’s) at one of our events. Come learn and enjoy all while getting credit towards your BPI certifications.**
