Event Description

The Sanitation Districts invite you to tour our facilities in Whittier and learn what happens to your sewage and trash.  

People from over 100 countries have toured Sanitation Districts' facilities to learn about our state-of-the-art methods for wastewater treatment and solid waste management. You can, too! 

This tour will cover three facilities: the San Jose Creek Water Reclamation Plant, the Puente Hills Materials Recovery Facility, and the Puente Hills Landfill. The tours are FREE, but contact us to reserve your spot (adults and children over the age of 10 are welcome). RSVP to Genesis Rodriguez via email or call (562)908-4288, ext. 2300.
