Offshore Wind Transmission US 2025, September 25, Albany St, New York, NY
Event Description
Over the past few years, the US has been speeding ahead as a key market for offshore wind energy. However, potential changes in the federal administration's priorities and policies could present challenges.
Despite these hurdles, there is a strong reason for optimism. Many states are committed to advancing offshore wind initiatives, and industry collaboration continues to strengthen. In this evolving landscape, it becomes even more important for stakeholders to discuss the path forward, refocus on long-term goals, share insights, and identify solutions to develop the transmission infrastructure essential for offshore wind success. Through sustained engagement and collaboration, Climate Week NYC can continue driving progress in the US offshore wind sector.
Offshore wind remains essential for meeting state and national climate goals, decarbonizing the grid, and strengthening long-term energy security. The development of transmission infrastructure is critical for the success of offshore wind projects. A coordinated and forward-thinking approach to transmission planning—one that integrates both offshore and onshore systems and aligns with broader grid strategies—will be vital for interconnecting future capacity and ensuring the viability of planned projects.
To continue advancing this essential conversation and to support this vital industry, Global Transmission Report is hosting its 9th Annual Offshore Wind Transmission US conference on September 25-26, 2025, at New York Marriott Downtown.
Climate Week NYC's mission is to bring together key stakeholders to address ongoing challenges, share insights, and explore solutions for building the transmission backbone needed for offshore wind success. In the current political climate, this gathering is more important than ever. It is not just an opportunity to stay the course, but to strengthen it. By keeping the dialogue active and realigning collaborative efforts, Climate Week NYC can ensure that the offshore wind sector continues to make progress.
