Event Description

Early-bird registration is now open for Sarasota County's 17th Annual Sustainable Communities Workshop on Nov. 01, a day-long, hybrid (in-person and online) event showcasing strategies for healthy, resilient, thriving communities.


Set for 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., the workshop will draw together residents of all ages, business owners and employees, non-profit leaders, and government officials to learn about environmental, economic, and social aspects of sustainability. Keynotes and panelists will discuss carbon sequestration, regenerative agriculture, climate change, social equity, local projects, ways to get involved, and more.


Registrants are welcome to attend in-person at the New College Harry Sudakoff Conference Center, 5845 General Dougher Place, Sarasota, or participate virtually. In-person attendees will have the opportunity to visit exhibitor booths to network with businesses and community groups, to help build a better future for our community.
