Event Description

As commercial businesses seek to welcome visitors back to their spaces, they have an opportunity to support their surrounding community and lower carbon emissions. For winners of New York State’s Carbon Neutral Economic Development Award, goals for community revitalization and carbon reduction work in tandem.

During this Beyond Zero Series event, Building Energy Exchange and NYSERDA welcome project experts who have creatively designed commercial buildings that act as welcoming spaces for visitors and tourists, and increase economic development in their surrounding communities.

The Beyond Zero series will celebrates low carbon projects across the State of New York that improve the health, affordability, and resiliency of communities. A multi-year effort across 2021-2022, the Beyond Zero educational series highlights successes, strategies, incentives, and goals for accelerating building decarbonization and optimizing carbon neutral design and construction.
