FREE Webinar: CarbonCure Discussion with Carbon Leadership Forum Chicago Hub, June 30, 1 PM EDT

  • 30 June 2020
  • Start time : 01:00 PM
  • End time : 02:00 PM
  • Event Host : Carbon Leadership Forum - Chicago Hub
carbon and the cement industry
Event Description

Join the Carbon Leadership Network's Chicago Hub to discuss carbon and the cement industry with Ozinga.

Cement is the source of about 8% of the world’s CO2 emissions. If the cement industry were a country, it would be the third largest emitter in the world – behind China and the US. CarbonCure manufacturers a technology for concrete producers that introduces recycled CO2 into fresh concrete to reduce the carbon footprint without compromising performance. Join Christie Gamble to talk about CarbonCure and Ryan Cialdella from Ozinga, a local CarbonCure Producer to answer logistic/production questions.

Regional Hubs are springing up across the United States and Canada and beginning in Europe and Asia. Anthony Pak of Priopta led the charge by creating the first local group in Vancouver, Canada. Since then, many enthusiastic professionals have created collaborative groups interested in sharing best practices, discussing solutions and spreading the word on how we can decarbonize the built environment.
