Event Description

Complying with waste regulations is important. Not only for the safety of our communities and employees, but also for the protection of our environment and natural resources, preserving them for enjoyment today and tomorrow.

The numerous waste requirements can be overwhelming, and finding time to educate yourself about them is often difficult. The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is offering this comprehensive conference to help you get the training you need at one time and in one place.


Each day of the conference provides up to 5 contact hours for a total of 10 hours that qualify for:

CEHs for Professional Engineers – Up to 10

PDHs (Professional Development Hours) – Up to 10

Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) uses CMPs to recertify for the following certifications:

CHMMs – Up to 10 CMPs (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager)
CHMPs – Up to 10 CMPs (Certified Hazardous Materials Practitioner)
CDGPs – Up to 10 CMPS (Certified Dangerous Goods Professional)
