Buildings 2.0 Conference, UI Labs, Chicago, September 19
Event Description

A full-day inside look into "smart buildings" featuring keynotes from WeWork, Microsoft, SOM, DPR, Certain Measures and more.

We're talking about how A.I., machine learning, IoT, and other emerging technologies have infiltrated our buildings and what it means for architects, engineers, GC's, owners and end users.

Who is this event for?

Real Estate Executives and Owners.
Architects, Engineers, and Construction Professionals.
Technology/Software/Data/ioT professionals.

What are the opportunities and realities of smart buildings?

Sensor enabled smart buildings that know when they need cleaning, heating or cooling. Buildings that harness rainwater, use less and recycle more. Resiliency buildings that withstand disaster. Sustainable buildings made completely from environmentally friendly materials.

The features of Buildings 2.0 are incredible and promising, potentially improving the environment, the longevity of the building, and the lifestyle of the end user. The problem is, they aren’t necessarily easy — or inexpensive — to implement.

Some burning questions remain for businesses:
What are the important emerging technologies disrupting everything? How important is it to put these features into buildings? How do we pay for it? Who are the major players dominating the market? How do you compete? How do we get our codes and standards in line with these new features? ... are just a few of the questions you might gave.

Join us as we spend a full-day at UI LABS in Goose Island, Chicago, exploring the opportunities of future buildings, and what needs to be done to bring our goals closer to reality.
