Beyond the Blower Door: Demystifying Whole Building Airtightness Testing - Multifamily, November 18, and in Boston, Massachusetts
Event Description
Join RDH Building Science’s David Stanton (Senior Engineer) and John Mann (CPHC, Phius Verifier, HERS Rater) as they present the essentials of airtightness testing—what it is, why it matters, and how to succeed.
Massachusetts’ updated energy code and passive building verification requirements mandate whole building airtightness testing. For multifamily projects, these tests can prove complex. Using real-world examples, including the Bunker Hill Redevelopment in Boston, this session will demystify the testing process and provide actionable strategies to overcome common challenges. Attendees will gain the confidence to embrace whole building airtightness testing as a vital step toward delivering high-performance, resilient, and comfortable buildings.
