Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. Beach Cleanup & Bash with Three Main & Rozalia Project, July 12, South Boston
Event Description
Roll up your sleeves with ThreeMain and Rozalia Project on Thursday, July 12th for a fun and educational beach cleanup.
This family-friendly event features a full morning of fun, educational activities. Lend a helping hand to keep our beach environment clean and beautiful; learn from our nonprofit partner, Rozalia Project, about the importance of protecting our oceans; enjoy complimentary refreshments and mingle with fellow ocean-lovers.
WHO: We invite you and your family, friends, and even co-workers to get involved in the community and environment. All you need to do is show up...and bring reusable supplies, if possible!
WHAT: Join us for a beach cleanup and fun competition between teams, including testing your recycling knowledge, and seeing how much ocean-bound waste each team can clean-up within an hour.
Wear your closed toe shoes and bring a whole lot of energy! After the cleanup, Rozalia will faciliate a group discussion, followed by lunch.
10:00-10:30 - ThreeMain family, friends and advisors arrive. Ashley from Rozalia Project and ThreeMain team member does Welcome, intro to Rozalia Project and ThreeMain partnership. Intro to Marine Debris with safety and clean up talk.
10:30 – 11:00 Cleanup commences
11:00 – 11:30 Trash sorting and data gathering
11:30 -12:00 Rozalia Project summary of findings, facilitate group discussion on source and solutions, wrap up
12:00pm - Lunch
