Join GBA for a green building tour of IKEA as we take a close-up look of the 694-kW PV array on the roof and other green features of the Pittsburgh facility, and learn all about IKEA’s commitment to sustainability! We’ll hear from a variety of IKEA team members to learn how sustainability is integrated and prioritized throughout the company.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how the IKEA facility has prioritized sustainability with renewable energy upgrades
  • Learn how the IKEA has promoted sustainability throughout its corporate structure and its impacts on the greater Pittsburgh region
  • Explore ways IKEA has facilitated customer behavior conducive to a circular economy
  • Learn the mechanics of operating within a corporate structure that prioritizes sustainability
