Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. GPRO Operations & Maintenance Essentials: Wednesday Afternoons, Online, March 4, 2 – 5 pm
Event Description
What is this training about?
In GPRO Operations & Maintenance Essentials, you’ll learn how to execute the best practices of sustainable building operations and leave with an individualized action plan. You’ll learn useful tools to measure building performance and straightforward strategies to reduce energy consumption and costs.
What will you learn?
By the end of this training, you will be able to:
Take a systemic approach to operating and maintaining a building
Evaluate building performance
Describe three immediately actionable next steps needed to improve the health and efficiency of your building
Explain the costs and benefits of efficiency measures
Who is this training for?
This training is ideal for property managers and building staff in both residential and high-rise commercial buildings, including: building superintendents, operators, facility and property managers, operating engineers and stationary engineers.
How does this training work?
Class sessions will be held over four days virtually on Zoom, led by a highly knowledgeable instructor with industry experience.
Day 1: Wednesday, March 4, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Day 2: Wednesday, March 11, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Day 3: Wednesday, March 18, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Day 4: Wednesday, March 25, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Registration includes access to a course ebook, flashcards, practice exam, and the official GPRO exam in addition to six on-demand electives. Students who pass the exam with an 80% or higher become a GPRO Certificate Holder.

Jason Kliwinski is the founding partner at the Green Building Center, and principal of Designs for Life. Designs for Life is an architectural firm that provides complete A/E services and approaches projects practically & holistically, focusing on incorporating the principles of sustainable design to the fullest extent possible on-time and within budget. Jason has more than nineteen years of experience in the practice of architecture and integration of cost effective sustainable design, and his practice focuses on three main areas: sustainable architecture, consulting and education.
