Embodied Carbon 101, Free Webinar
Event Description

Recently, the federal government has developed several initiatives with the intent of measuring and significantly reducing embodied carbon - the emissions associated with building materials - at a national scale. The government is recognizing that building material reuse is an important component of this effort, and has explicitly called out support for the reclaimed building materials sector. Of note is the announcement of a $100 million low embodied carbon construction products grant program that lists reclaimed materials as a priority material type.

This is an unprecedented time for the reclaimed building materials sector. To capitalize on these extraordinary opportunities, it is necessary to understand the language of embodied carbon accounting and how it could be used to drive more material reuse in the future!
