Event Description

This EBC Infrastructure webinar will explore the electrification of mass transit fleets as a key element in the transition to a sustainable, green transportation economy. Transit agencies have frequently been trailblazers on environmental issues, and transportation electrification is no different. The large-scale transition from fossil fuel to electric buses offers an exciting step toward a sustainable transportation future. However, significant technical, operational, and funding challenges must be addressed to realize the vision of an electrified mass transit network.

The program will be kicked off by Glen Berkowitz of A Better City who will introduce the program and provide a perspective of its applicability and importance to Boston and other urban areas across the country. This program will include presentations on transit electrification from various perspectives within the industry.
