Event Description

August’s JBU event will be focused on the decarbonization of buildings in pursuit of net zero energy design criteria. The session should be of interest to Consulting Engineers and Design Build Contractors designing electric based solutions for domestic hot water and heating hot water systems.

The conversation will discuss the industry drivers for demanding electric based solutions, with presentations from Colmac WaterHeat and SHARC Energy Systems on the application of their technologies.

Join us on Thursday, August 15th, from 4-6pm for an interactive and informative presentation.

The session will focus on the following areas:

• Advancement of heat pump technologies

• Air source, low ambient air source, and water source heat pump water heating technologies

• Wastewater energy recovery

• Integrating distributed condenser water systems with both technologies

• Maintenance requirements

• Applications

• Cost considerations of these systems

• Lessons learned

• Questions & Open Discussion

  • Logistics / Parking
    • As parking can be a little tight in the area, please allow a few minutes to find a spot in a nearby garage or surface lot if you're driving, or better yet, take the MAX (location is very close to the Providence Place stop).

      PDH certificates will be available for PEs who need them.
