Event Description

Join the U.S. Green Building Council Nebraska Flatwater Community for their 3rd Annual Green Schools Roundtable on Thursday, August 1st.

This is a great time to gather among your peers to get in a green schools state of mind for the 2019-20 school year. Attendees will learn how to engage their schools in all things green including gardens and outdoor learning, energy, water, recycling & composting, environmental quality, curriculum and more! In addition to our large group discussion that has served us well in the past, this year we are adding some break out sessions to dive further into those specific topics of interest.

Teachers, administrators, facilities managers, local businesses and nonprofits, community leaders, and green school advocates welcome. This will be an excellent opportunity to collect ideas and hear how your peers are working to incorporate sustainability initiatives across buildings and in the classroom. This is an opportunity to learn from each other, gather ideas for the upcoming school year, create new collaborations, and remember there are others working as hard as you to grow green schools. You are the experts, let's learn together!
