Building Science for Carpenters: Peers, Beers, and Networking

High Performance House Tour

Steven Snider of Green Phoenix Development is providing a tour of his Highland Street High Performance, DOE Zero Energy Ready certified project in Weston on Tuesday, August 27. Steven will include the following discussion topics:

  • Design process and goals
  • Construction details
  • Tour and summary of the home's efficiency features
  • Discussion about the various certifications (LEED Platinum, ENERGY STAR, EPA Indoor airPLUS, DOE Zero Energy Ready) and challenges achieving them


Both the architect (Treff LaFleche of LDA) and GC (Walter Beebe-Center of Essex Restoration) plan on speaking and answering questions. 


Building Science for Carpenters is an ongoing series co-sponsored by the Studio for High-Performance Design & Construction (SHPDC), the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB), and Passive House Massachusetts (PHMA).
