The environments we spend time in impacts us in numerous ways. Work environments are no exception, and with the amount of time we spend at work increasing, offices have a huge impact on our behaviors, habits, and overall health. This presentation will discussion the connection between workplaces and well-being, from the psychological ways space cues encourage behaviors to the chemical composition of the products that we use, and many things in between.

Learning Objectives:

Attendees will learn about the connections between the built office environment and occupant well-being.

Discuss the importance of movement in the workplace to support physical well-being.
Understand the impact of space design on human behavior and how to encourage positive outcomes, such as increased physical movement through design.
Learn about various frameworks for understanding and measuring environmental health impacts, such as the Health Product Declaration and the WELL Building Standard.
