The 9th GRIHA Summit 2017 - 'Sustainable is Affordable', 18 - 19 Dec, New Delhi, India
Event Description

The 9th GRIHA Summit with the theme "Sustainable is Affordable" shall serve as a platform to deliberate on such issues and share collective knowledge on innovative and indigenous solutions to promote sustainability through affordability.

GRIHA is an acronym for Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment. GRIHA is a Sanskrit word meaning – ‘Abode’. Human Habitats (buildings) interact with the environment in various ways. Throughout their life cycles, from construction to operation and then demolition, they consume resources in the form of energy, water, materials, etc. and emit wastes either directly in the form of municipal wastes or indirectly as emissions from electricity generation. GRIHA attempts to minimize a building’s resource consumption, waste generation, and overall ecological impact to within certain nationally acceptable limits / benchmarks.

The Summit will bring together experts from industry, finance policy and consumers to develop and drive new initiatives, provide insights, and showcase sustainable products and green business opportunities. It will also facilitate sharing of international best practices from all across the world to elicit practical applications that are most relevant in the Indian context.

We at the GRIHA Council invite you to participate wholeheartedly in this Summit and share your thoughts, knowledge, experience and add value to promote sustainability in an affordable manner.
