Event Description

Now in its fourth edition, NEXT is a conference focused on innovation in technology, manufacturing, and biotech. The event brings together fast-track companies, managers, researchers, medical professionals, investors, and entrepreneurs to meet and learn from each other and from international thought leaders and industry experts.

The dynamic full-day program boasts two world-class keynotes: artificial intelligence and robotics guru Hod Lipson and internationally renowned neuroscientist and medical intelligence expert Dave Warner, as well as interactive educational workshops in three concurrent tracks.

A Technology Showcase features breakthrough science from university and industry research teams and displays from businesses developing cutting-edge products, giving attendees a unique first-hand look at NEXT generation opportunities, tools, and discoveries.

  • Speakers / Presenters
    • Keynotes Speakers:
      Dave Warner, MD PhD

Dave Warner is a medical neuroscientist with an MD/PhD from Loma Linda University researching new methods of physiologically based human-computer interaction to identify methods and techniques that optimize information flow between humans and computers.

Much of his recent work has been in military/civilian operations supporting cross-domain information sharing and open communications capabilities in difficult settings such as refugee camps and disaster areas

      Hod Lipson, PhD
Hod Lipson is a roboticist who works in the areas of artificial intelligence and digital manufacturing. He and his students love designing and building robots that do what you’d least expect robots to do: Self-replicate, self-reflect, ask questions, and even be creative.

Hod is a professor of Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University, where he directs the Creative Machines Lab, which pioneers new ways to make machines that create, and machines that are creative.
