Green Building Kayak Tour, Pittsburgh
Event Description

Join the Green Building Alliance on the water and take in Pittsburgh’s green buildings from a different vantage point!

Paddle along the Allegheny River, enjoying the natural beauty the waterway has to offer. Led by GBA staff members, this adventure will be a trip both into the city’s past and future. Paddling northward from under the Roberto Clemente Bridge, there will be stops along the way to point out various green buildings visible from the river and share insights into the city’s green development.

Don’t worry if this is your first time kayaking, as this is flat-water (NOT white-water) kayaking and even easier than riding a bike. There are no rapids, the boats are very stable and easy to steer, and the waters are not infested with sharks or piranhas.
