Human health is a longstanding value of the green building movement. Green buildings can promote health and well-being in the near term while preserving resources and protecting the environment for human benefit in the long term. This technical session delves into the importance of maintaining high quality indoor air through buildings' ongoing operations. We will explore the importance of indoor air quality (IAQ) testing to set a benchmark and lessons learned from real projects to improve upon the base set in a buildings design and construction. The intents and strategies established in LEED v4 will be demonstrated in the context of case studies that addressed IAQ through certification and re-certification.
