CALGreen Codes and Standards Education and Virtual Training
Event Description

CALGreen is California’s first green building code and the first nation state-mandated green building code. It is formally known as the California Green Building Standards Code. The purpose of CALGreen is to improve public health, with a scope encompassing multiple codes, from Energy Code, Plumbing Code, Electrical Code, Mechanical Code, and others. In a way, CalGreen fills the gaps that those multiple codes failed to deliver or overlooked, especially with respect to sustainability.

Learning Objectives:

- How architects play the role to integrate CALGreen into projects

- The relationship of CALGreen to other codes and criteria

- Mandatory Criteria and the additional benefits of Voluntary Measures in CALGreen
