Free Webinar: Info Webinar - 2026 LEED for Cities Certification Cohort, January 14, 1 pm ET
Event Description
Join LEED for Cities and Communities for the 2nd informational webinar for those interested in applying to the 2026 LEED for Cities Certification Cohort.
This webinar will provide an overview of USGBC’s annual LEED for Cities Certification Cohort, a component of the Local Government Leadership Program, for those considering applying for the 2026 Cohort or to learn more about the program.
LEED for Cities and Communities annual LEED for Cities certification cohort is an application-based program for local governments that are ready to certify in the LEED v4.1 Cities: Existing Cities rating system. This cohort is designed for jurisdictions that have the required data and staff capacity to be successful. Cohort participants meet monthly for targeted education and assistance, aiming to build momentum toward institutionalizing sustainability within their local government. They are expected to certify within 12 months of starting the program.
In partnership with Bank of America, USGBC has provided direct support to nearly 120 US local governments, representing over 54 million people, through the LEED for Cities Certification Cohort, because LEED for Cities and Communities believe leadership in sustainability and resilience begins with local governments.
