Free Webinar: Electrify Efficiently - Products and Resources, 2-part series, February 3, 9 - 10:30 am PT
Event Description

Dive into the essentials of home electrification with a comprehensive product overview and learn the best practices for staging successful projects. This class series will equip you with the knowledge and skills to transform your home into an energy-efficient haven.

Part 1 of 2 - February 3, 2026 (9 am - 10:30 am)

Homeowners around the world are beginning to embrace electrification (the switch from gas-fired appliances to electric powered appliances). In this webinar, EMH will introduce and provide an overview of home electrification products to aid in the transition away from gas. This includes at least two electric options for each common gas appliance (e.g., HVAC, water heating, cooking, clothes drying, and fireplaces) as well as advanced electrical products that solve challenging load capacity issues.

Agenda:

  • Introduction and safety message
  • Overview of the Electrify My Home "Electrify Efficiently" webinar series
  • Product/manufacturer disclaimer
  • Electric options for HVAC and water heating
  • Electric options for other home appliances
  • Products that solve common electrification challenges
  • Class survey, closing and wrap up

At the conclusion of this course,, participants will be able to:

  • Name at least two electric options for each typical gas appliance in a home
  • Identify two types of heat pumps
  • Describe a scenario where a split heat pump water heater is advantageous
  • Explain how a circuit splitter can help avoid costly panel upgrades

Part 2 of 2 - February 10, 2026 (9 am - 10:30 am)

Long-term planning is essential when it comes to most whole-home electrification journeys. By taking into consideration a customer’s long-term needs alongside their immediate needs, you can help customers avoid costly mistakes. In this webinar, participants will hear insights and recommendations on optimal order of operations of electrification installs. These insights come from Electrify My Home’s deep experience on hundreds of real-world electrification projects. Come prepared with questions about your electrification projects.

Agenda:

  • Introduction and safety message
  • Electrify My Home: "good electrification" and "install small"
  • Planning ahead for electrification
  • Staging electrification projects
  • Q&A

At the conclusion of this course,, participants will be able to:

  • Explain two reasons why planning a panel upgrade is so important
  • Describe the rationale behind why single trade contractors should advise beyond their specific product or installation
  • Explain why an inverter heat pump may be beneficial if future building enclosure upgrades are planned
  • Summarize importance of Electrify My Home's approach to "good electrification" and "install small"
