Free Webinar: How to Assess a Home for Electrification, June 23, 9 - 10:30 am PT
Event Description

How do you know if a home is truly ready for electrification, and what upgrades should come first? This fast-paced, practical webinar teaches the core workflow used to assess residential properties for electrification upgrades like heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, induction cooking, EV chargers, and more. In 90 minutes, participants will learn how to evaluate a home’s electrification readiness by assessing electrical infrastructure, mechanical constraints, gas appliance inventory, safety issues, and overall installation feasibility. The session also covers the tools and documentation needed to protect both the customer and the contractor, and how to communicate findings clearly so projects run smoothly and expectations stay realistic.

Learning Objectives -

  • Identify the essential components of an electrification assessment
  • Perform a structured assessment using a repeatable workflow (site plan, gas inventory, panel inspection, appliance/mechanical inspection)
  • Identify the electrical panel's main capacity
  • Document and communicate results clearly to reduce surprises, strengthen project planning, and improve retrofit outcomes
