Free Webinar: Building practice for a JUST future, October 7
Event Description

Earlier this year, the Centre for Joined Up Sustainability Transformations (JUST) launched a new powerhouse of social science, research, and action, to accelerate a fair and equitable transformation into a low-carbon society. With support from ESRC over the next five years, this national Centre is focused on understanding what works where, why, and for whom, in sustainable living.

The Young Foundation is supporting the Centre as its impact partner, ensuring that this ground-breaking research reaches the people and places it needs to, nurturing the conditions for change across the UK.

Young Foundation invites you to join them as the Young Foundation share opportunities for participation in the Centre, reaching out to those in policy or practice across a range of disciplines who are committed to justice and change for people and the planet.

Why is it important to have participation in the JUST Centre?

People around the world are experiencing climate change in increasingly disruptive ways, and most people want to see stronger action taken to fight climate change. The UK is committed to acting, and the UK Government has adopted a suite of policies to get us there. However, as we move away from activities that are harming the planet, our everyday lives are likely to change. Reaching these goals requires the participation of everyone in all parts of the UK. To do this, we must rewrite the rulebook, enabling active participation, co-operation and mutual responsibility – reinventing our standard, normal practices and ways of working together to achieve a just climate future.
