Event Description

In 2015, Global Water Crisis was listed as the Number 1 threat facing the planet over the next decade. Higher than Infectious Disease, Weapons of Mass Destruction and even Climate Change. Our responsibility to conserve and restore water to its natural environment is now more important than ever. In the built environment, to go beyond timed showers and low flow faucets, we have to leverage creative solutions both inside and outside the four walls of any project to truly make a difference. Programs like LEED and Green Globes have embraced these concepts and terms like NetZero Water, Water Handprinting, Scale-Jumping all represent emerging ideals that are taking hold but need to be elevated beyond the periphery. You hold a key position in the world of water consumption and are poised to make a vital impact. Join Heather Schrock, Director of Environmental Partnerships at Bonneville Environmental Foundation for an overview of how you can go beyond the four walls of your project to make a splash in water restoration.
