Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. Building Science & Net Zero Design Certificate, Online with an In-Person Component, March 16-May 1, 9 am to 5 pm
Event Description
Through engaging lectures, case studies, hands-on demos, and design challenges, you’ll learn the core principles behind high-performance home design. Topics include building science fundamentals, envelope detailing, insulation types and installation methods, mechanical systems, and passive solar strategies. The goal: to help you design a sustainable, comfortable home aligned with your values and with the forces of physics and nature. In the studio, you’ll put theory into practice on a project of your choice.
Whether you're a designer, builder, project manager, property owner, or aspiring professional, a solid grasp of building science and a pathway to net-zero is quickly becoming essential for anyone shaping the built environment.

Tuesday and Thursday
6 pm-9 pm
April 13-17: Applied Building Science
An optional hands-on course that is an excellent addition to the certificate. Registration for this course is separate.
April 20-May 1: In Person
Monday - Friday
9 am-5 pm
Note - Hybrid: Online and Main Campus in Waitsfield, VT and 8 Online Sessions, 10 Days In Person
