Tiny Houses - Understanding and Overcoming Zoning Obstacles

Hi everyone -

I wanted to make sure to link to Gina's article, "Tiny Houses - Understanding and Overcoming Zoning Obstacles."  I think she makes a good argument that it's important to try and understand the history and perspective of where some zoming regulations are coming from, in order to figure out how to achieve homeowner and municipality goals for win-wins, one at a time or for whole communities.  We can discuss here, or people can comment directly on the article.

Gina points to a map of tiny house regulations by state, and also several other resources.  Please feel welcome to add more resources and suggestions there or here.

Also, I think it would be helpful if people could share examples of area where zoning and other changes are taking place, especially where the changes seem to be successful bot both homeowners and the municipalities.  Opportunities for learning are also of course always great.
