As the world's largest building materials company and a leader in high performance building, it makes great sense that Saint-Gobain would show leadership and aim for excellence for the company's newly renovated North American headquarters.

According to the DailyLocal, the building:

-Showcases at least 40 sustainable Saint Gobain products
-Diverted approximately 79 percent of construction & demolition waste from landfills
-Contains a high level of recycled content
-Makes use of local materials
-Will use 40% less water than a conventional office building
-Contains many low or no VOC products
-Encourages public transportation

Saint-Gobain plans to earn recognition under the EPA's EnergyStar program and as a USGBC LEED Platinum Building as well.

It would be very exciting if Saint-Gobain could share lessons learned from this and other projects!
