Making Green Sustainable... Again

I've been a builder since the 90s and a green builder for close to 20 years now.  I enjoyed a nice increase in business in the early 2000s during that green bubble before the crash in 2008.  We still build using the same principles; however, have noticed that our clients don't really seem to be demanding high-performance buildings OR healthy buildings as much as they used to.

I feel we are about to experience a "new green wave" when it comes to design, specifications, and building due to increased awareness of COVID-19.

We had two choices:

1.  We can wait to see what the market brings to us OR

2.  Our industry can control and write the narrative for healthy, comfortable, energy-efficient build environments.

People are more concerned about their health and wellness and environmental impact now than ever, so we need to ensure we are ready to serve their needs.
