Most contractors and facilities managers are very comfortable with the “low-hanging fruit” types of lighting retrofit, but with existing T8, T5, T5 high output and ceramic metal halide systems, it is important you address basic soft savings, the benefits of Human Centric Lighting design, performance certifications and advanced financial tools to receive project approval. We will help you make that business case.
This course will explore types of LEDs that operate with existing ballasts, direct line voltage and dedicated drivers and how these technologies compare with LED light bars, fixture kits and new fixtures. Lighting Wizards
Stan Walerczyk is principal of Lighting Wizards and co-founder & chair of the Human Centric Lighting Society. His three decades of lighting experience includes distribution, maintenance, retrofit contracting, 3rd party review, consulting, design, luminaire design, policy-making and research. He assisted DOE research on spectrally enhanced lighting. He has been a judge of the Architectural SSL Product Innovation and LEDs Magazine’s Sapphire Awards. He wrote 100+ white papers and published articles. The AEE published his book ‘Lighting & Controls: Transitioning to the Future’. He presented 1100+ seminars, including at 4 Lightfairs, 4 AEE WEECs, 3 IES Conferences, 3 E Source Annual Forums, 2 Strategies in Light, 1 LightShow West, 1 OLEDs Summit and 1 Department of Energy Solid State Lighting Conference. Current and past certifications include Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional, Human Centric Lighting Professional and Lighting Certified. He worked on the IES Spectral Effects and Energy Management Committees. He has a BA in psychology and an MA in oriental philosophy.
