Constructing Connections: Developing Chicago’s Clean Energy Workforce, Hybrid, November 2
Event Description

Join the Illinois Green Alliance for a roundtable discussion with Inherent Homes and Chicago Women in Trades to discover how Chicago residents are learning to build and maintain high-performance all-electric homes. Explore the connections between workforce training and affordable homeownership to catalyze sustainable neighborhood revitalization.

Significant investments from the state and federal governments will accelerate the construction and renovation of energy-efficient, renewably-powered buildings across Illinois. Parallel programs seek to recruit, train, and place residents into good-paying green jobs.

Discover how one firm is approaching the challenges of affordable homeownership, workforce development, and community revitalization through innovative practices and partnerships.
