Event Description

This session will discuss the specifics of decarbonizing existing commercial buildings as well as the more broad background on building decarbonization in California. You will learn how commercially-ready technologies for multiple building systems can be applied to achieve decarbonization as well as some common pitfalls to be aware of. After the concept and technology is presented, the session will cover adjacent areas of building performance and operation that must be considered before and after a decarbonization project.

Seminar Highlights:

1. Learn what decarbonization of buildings means.

2. Become familiar with practical applications of building system technologies to achieve decarbonization of existing commercial buildings.

3. Learn about the anticipated interactions between decarbonized buildings and other related topics of building performance such as electrification, demand response, gas and electric utilities, and other topics.
