Event Description

Leading U.S. corporations and institutions are under increasing pressure to demonstrate their progress toward Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals. LEED helps building owners and operators meet their ESG goals by providing robust and globally recognized green building framework to measure and manage their buildings’ performance. Join the January 26 conversation with three national organizations that are embodying their ESG commitments through building design and operations.

Hear from IKEA, The Howard Hughes Corporation, and the Smithsonian Institution how social and environmental priorities actively shape their organizations’ mission and are reflected in large scale decisions that shape daily operations. Discussion will include the role of LEED, and will address the impact of ESG commitments, both in terms of ROI as well as enhancing quality of life for the communities in which these organizations work. Our panel of local leaders will offer insight into future trends in ESG commitments as corporations and nonprofits work alongside governments to fight and potentially reverse the impacts of climate change.
