Massachusetts Energy Policy Rally - September 29, 12 - 5 pm - At the State House

  • 29 Sep 2015
Event Description

Massachusetts legislators are about to make a series of monumental decisions about energy policy -- the kind of decisions that come only once every few decades. Our state is poised to spend billions to replace aging energy infrastructure. We need to make sure that we spend that money right.

Several energy bills will be heard on 9/29 regarding offshore wind, solar, creating subsidies for new gas pipelines, hydropower, and increasing the state's progressive commitment to renewable energy. We need to make sure that legislators hear us loud and clear: we want clean, local energy, not dirty fossil fuels. The stakes have never been higher.

Join other members of the Mass Power Forward coalition (and many other groups) for a rally outside the State House at noon. The hearing itself starts at 1 pm in Gardner Auditorium.
