Event Description

Testing your work is imperative to meeting or exceeding performance targets and ensuring a feedback loop is in place for continual process improvements. It is well understood in the building science community that we must seal the big leaks first -- interstitial cavities are one of the big leaks. Instructor Gavin Healy of Balance Point Home Performance will highlight the use of infrared cameras to demonstrate the thermal impact of interstitial cavities. In the class we will evaluate unique and systematic strategies for minimizing or eliminating surface area exposed to high temperature and pressure differentials. This two-hour class will cover practical strategies and real-world constraints of isolating interstitial cavities from the exterior conditions.
