Event Description

Join for an introduction to Zero Waste.  Speaker Kara Magoolaghan will present on the TRUE Zero Waste Rating System, how it relates to facility operations, and give anecdotal examples for how GBA executes Zero Waste Events.  Participants will also discuss ideas for aligning their waste policies with organizational goals and values.

    • Kara Magoolaghan:
      Kara’s passion for sustainability and interest in energy efficiency drove her to Green Building Alliance, where she works to execute educational events for practitioners of high-performance buildings. Kara holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Binghamton University and is pursuing her law degree at Duquesne University. Kara is a Certified Passive House Designer, TRUE Zero Waste Advisor, and a LEED Green Associate.
