Event Description

The World Congress on Green Building 2026 in Berlin is a three-day event all about greening buildings (roof, facade and interior greening) and related topics (including urban climate, rainwater management, sustainability, and the city of the future). 

A trade exhibition will take place alongside the congress. 

On the third day of the congress, there is the opportunity to participate in excursions to special projects in Berlin.

The World Congress is organized by the German Federal Association for Green Roofs and Walls (BuGG) with the support of international and national partners such as the European Federation of Green Roof & Wall Associations (EFB).

The World Congress on Green Roofs and Walls offers:

• Speakers from various countries
• with topics related to roof, facade and interior greening
• a wide range of exhibitors in the accompanying trade exhibition
• a large number of cooperation and media partnerships (associations, organizations, institutions)
• Knowledge transfer and contacts for greening buildings 
• Presentation of best practice examples
• Knowledge transfer through industry experts from home and abroad in parallel lecture series and discussion rounds.

• Interdisciplinary exchange of experience between city representatives, architects, landscape architects, interior designers, urban planners, water management experts, industry and real estate representatives, manufacturers, processors, researchers, associations, politicians and other interest groups
