Event Description

Nature and healthy ecosystems provide essential services for humanity, and when we make the effort, we can balance the commonly understood needs of a built space while still providing for nature and natural processes in a mutually beneficial way. Nature-based land development approaches are worth our effort because we need functioning natural systems to continue providing life-dependent services for us, sustainably through time.

One of the easiest and best ways we can achieve this outcome is by including healthy natural systems as integrated components of our site development plans. In this presentation, Lee Marlowe will provide an overview of Texas native ecosystems integrated into site plans by sharing a variety of local projects that support biodiversity and natural processes while meeting site development goals.
