Benchmarking and Labeling Tools for Energy Efficiency
Event Description

This forum will discuss benchmarking and green labeling as tools for energy efficiency and decarbonization.

Energy benchmarking and labeling are tools that local governments can use to help reduce energy use and greenhouse gas emissions from existing buildings. By collecting and reporting energy data, building owners and operators can understand their building’s energy use and identify targeted approaches for reduction. This virtual half day forum will cover statewide benchmarking requirements, discuss the value of benchmarking for property owners, and highlight several local Bay Area benchmarking ordinances as tools to help cities meet their energy efficiency and climate action plan goals.
