Mike Davis of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) will present on LISC’s Boston Green Retrofit Initiative which has provided energy management services and technical assistance to 50 multifamily affordable housing owners statewide. Mike's work with owners has helped LISC understand that moderate/substantial rehabilitation is the golden moment to achieve deep energy savings and layer on renewables and storage. Mike will also discuss LISC's experience fostering collaboration among the housing finance, utility, and clean energy sectors to ensure all available savings are achieved.

LISC equips struggling communities with the capital, strategy and know-how to become places where people can thrive. Working with local leaders we invest in housing, health, education, public safety and employment - all basic needs that must be tackled at once so that progress in one is not undermined by neglect in another. With over 30 years of experience, LISC brings together key local players to take on pressing challenges and incubate new solutions. LISC's extensive toolkit includes loans, grants, equity investments and on-the-ground experience in some of America’s neediest neighborhoods.

The USGBC MA Residential Green Building Committee is focused on improving the housing stock of the Commonwealth by championing green building practices in our communities. Join us on the second Monday of each month to be a part of the movement.
