Second Conference on Community Solar in the US, July 23, New York, NY
Event Description

Community solar projects have been playing a significant role in making solar power more affordable and accessible for households in the United States. The community solar model has been steadily gaining popularity in the country over the years, with many states having large community solar installations and active or announced community solar programs.

The sector has received a significant thrust from grants, tax credits and net metering programs across the various states. While there are concerns surrounding policy reversals, the multi-fold benefits of community solar for low-to-moderate income houses, renters, multi-family housings, small businesses, non-profits, and entire communities, cannot be ignored.

Further, as community solar projects are smaller, distributed and can be brought online in much less time than traditional utility-scale solar projects, utilities as well as large and small business houses are betting on these projects to meet their clean energy procurement targets. Although interconnection and financing challenges remain, the attractive market dynamics, increasing demand for solar, and immense untapped potential create a strong outlook for the community solar sector in the United States.

Against this backdrop, REGlobal is organizing a topical conference on Community Solar in US at Jay Conference Center, Fifth Avenue, New York on July 23, 2026, in New York. The conference will bring together policymakers and regulators, developers, utilities, technology providers, manufacturers, consultants, contractors and service providers, investors, grid operators, local authorities and associations, permitting bodies and industry experts to highlight the growth trends, evolving policy environment, current grants and schemes, developers’ plans and experiences, permitting and grid considerations, financing landscape, technology trends, construction and O&M best practices, and outlook for the community solar sector in the United States.
