Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. Join Mass Energy, People's Power & Light, and the Center for EcoTechnology on Sunday, July 31st for a wind turbine tour, solar array tour, and mountain-top adventures at Berkshire East Mountain Resort!

Guests will be able to test-drive an electric vehicle with the Mass Sierra Club, take a chairlift ride up the mountain to tour Berkshire East's 900kW wind turbine and 500kW solar array, enjoy free lunch, and be able to make the switch to 100% renewable electricity (just bring your electric bill!)!!
After the tour, you can enjoy special discounts for guests on mountain-top adventures. You can:
zip-line at a 50% discount! Optional Valley Jump or Mountain Top zip-lining tour, OR
ride the Mountain Coaster for free, OR schedule your own rafting or mountain biking trip (and get $25 off your adventure--book in advance directly with Berkshire East and mention you will be using a coupon from Mass Energy. Please book your adventure at 1:30pm or later to ensure they get you back to the base on time!)
IMPORTANT: THERE WILL BE LIGHT HIKING (10-15 minutes on some steep terrain) to get to the wind turbine for those who ride the chairlift. There will be more intensive hiking for those who go zip-lining. If you cannot hike to the turbine or do not wish to take the chairlift, Mass Energy/PP&L will provide a shuttle from the base to the wind turbine, and back down.
Event Schedule:
9:30 - 10:15 am: Electric vehicles available for test-driving. (If you own an electric vehicle and would like to show it off to other attendees, please bring it and let Anna know at anna@massenergy.org!)
10:15 - 11:00 am: Chairlift ride and hike up to turbine (OR shuttle up with Mass Energy/PP&L bus)
11:00 - 1:00 pm: Lunch, wind turbine tour, & solar tour
1:00 pm: Zip-lining begins. Mass Energy/PP&L bus takes all other attendees back to base lodge.
