Join USGBC for their monthly First Friday LEED Webinar education series! We will be focusing on mostly LEED v4 content throughout the year - typically with LEED specific CEU credits, and often AIA LU credits as well. USGBC's November online LEED webinar will be on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:15 am CST / 12:15 pm EST. Everblue Presents: Slim Down Your Footprint - Green Power & Carbon Offsets Available for 1.0 hour LEED specific CE for BD+C, O+M, ID+C, the LEED Green Associate, and 1 AIA LU|HSW This webinar is designed to introduce participants to the rather complex concepts of Green Power and Carbon offsets, as well as the carbon marketplace. Due in part to increases in global warming and energy production’s role in it, carbon reduction has become a hot button for many businesses and governments worldwide. Specific examples are offered to help explain how to navigate this LEED credit within multiple rating systems. At the end of the module, participants will be able to decide if Green Power is something worth pursuing for the future. Learning objectives: Global Warming and energy production’s role in it Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) and other Green Power, including their role in certification requirements for LEED Understanding the voluntary procurement of Green Power and Carbon Offsets for LEED Reviewing Green Power Case Studies to help you understand the application of these products in LEED LEED BD+C, O+M, and ID+C credits for Green Power and Carbon Offsets
