Event Description

Join Green Veterans and Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition for a discussion highlighting the Clean Energy Jobs Act and what is being done to create a cleaner future!

Green Veterans seeks to educate fellow veterans on employment and training opportunities in the energy sector. The Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA), which passed with strong bipartisan support in 2016, positioned Illinois to become a clean energy leader. We will have a conversation about what that future looks like and how veterans can benefit and provide service. We want to ensure that veteran needs are met and voices are heard. We have a real opportunity to shape the way Illinois builds this new clean energy economy by passing the Clean Energy Jobs Act (CEJA). Join us to learn more about CEJA and the different clean energy programs that you can take advantage of today, including employment and training opportunities.

Attendees will also learn about Illinois Green Veterans and opportunities to connect with veterans interested in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and urban agriculture. Additionally, homeowners will also learn about energy saving programs they can implement in their homes.
